Governor Michelle Miller
Welcome current, past, and prospective members to the District 3 website.
Kinsmen, Kinettes and Kin have made a tremendous effect on the province of Saskatchewan through the continuous service each club completes each year. Clubs typically raise more than $18 million per year for Canadian communities.
In Saskatchewan we have almost 1000 members that are spread across all corners of the province. Kin is one of the most recognizable service organizations not only in Saskatchewan but Canada. Kin Canada has over 400 Kin, Kinsmen and Kinette clubs from coast-to-coast with almost 80 of those clubs right here in Saskatchewan. As the only truly Canadian service organization, we are made up of dedicated member volunteers who serve their community’s greatest need through hosting and sponsoring events and community service projects. Since its founding, Kin, Kinsmen and Kinette clubs across Canada have contributed more than $1 billion to Canadian communities and disaster relief programs.
The most notable service project of Kin in Saskatchewan is TeleMiracle. Kin are the ones who started the Kinsmen Foundation and TeleMiracle. Most of the Board members, TeleMiracle Committee members, and workers at TeleMiracle are Kin volunteers. TeleMiracle is the annual fundraising event where Saskatchewan is invited to “Ring Those Phones”! All money raised stays right here in the Province of Saskatchewan to help the people of Saskatchewan.
When members become knowledgeable, through information and instruction, they feel capable to take on new projects and want to share new ideas. Kin Canada gives us the tools and knowledge we need to grow and become leaders in this association and our community.
If you are looking for a way to give back to your community, please consider joining your local Kinsmen, Kinette or Kin Club.
Yours In Kin,
Michelle Miller
