CLUBS: Decoding your Annual Requirements

1. July 15th – This is when clubs should have their executive reporting into the National head office, this reporting consists of the president, treasurer, and risk management officer for the club. Having this in on time not only assists the District team to better serve you the member, but it also allows the club to stay up to date with Kin news and business from national/district. Follow the link below to easily complete this form.

2. September 30th – This is the date at which your newest roster MUST be updated at national office, this the roster numbers that the district will use as your annual dues and this is also the number at which national will use for the dues averaging system. Contact Melina Hayward at Kin National office to ensure your roster is up to date.

3. November 15th – This is the deadline for most of the Kin club requirements.

a. Dues, both National and District are due

b. Insurance reporting is due, can be completed on IKin by following this link, https://www.ikin.ca/imis20/iKin/Risk_Management/Insurance_Reporting.aspx?WebsiteKey=aeb21303-4ccd-488a-9310-f931c21dcdb9

c. Incorporations are due, after your club has gotten an audited financial statement from the years previous books, you must file with the incorporations of Saskatchewan, DO NOT FORGET TO SEND IN THE CONFIRMATION TO NATIONAL after finalizing everything with the incorporations branch. If you or your club have any issues with this requirement please feel free to reach out to the District Risk Management, Tammy Allan at tallan1@live.ca

d. Criminal record checks, this requirement is in place for any member holding the position of President or Treasurer plus any new members as of July 1/2018. The new members or executive only need a criminal record check every three years.

e. Consent forms, the consent form must be filled in and signed and forwarded to Kin national to accompany your CRC, if you complete the CRC using the backcheck system you will need to complete this separately and send it in. The links for backcheck and the consent form are found below, https://www.ikin.ca/imis20/iKin/Risk_Management/Volunteer_Screening/iKin/Risk_Management/Volunteer_Screening.aspx?hkey=1b5fdd75-19e8-4a48-84fd-ceb0a1d5abdc

f. Declaration of Good Standing, this a new requirement as of September 15th/2019, this is a simple read and click requirement requiring members to verify that they have not committed any crimes, as per the criminal code of Canada, in the past 12 months. This is required to be completed by EVERY member in Kin Canada, unless you were required to obtain a CRC for this year, for example if you are President, treasurer or a new member. This can be completed by logging into IKin, upon your log in it will pop up, answer one question click finish and you are done for the year, yup just that simple.

4. June 30th – Service reporting should be complete and sent into your District service coordinator, we will then relay this information onto national, or you can send it to national on your own. We do prefer to have as many clubs reporting to our district as possible, before our District convention in June, so we can give an update about all of your hard work and dedication to enriching your communities.
